Replacing ML350 windshield visor
Hi. I'm new to the forum and am looking for some help in replacing the passenger side windshield visor. The problem is that the mirror cover does not stay shut. MB wants $250.00 to do this and I can find a replacement online for $136.00 so I thought I'd try it. Everything look pretty contained, but I'm unsure how to get the visor off the rod. Has anyone done this and has any insight? Thanks!

I'm not sure but I suspect it is held by a wire ring spring clip.
The method for removing these is to push it together firmly, then suddenly jerk it apart. Only use your hands to grip it so you do no damage.

Removing a ML350 windshield sun visor
Thanks for the reply.
Is this instruction for removing the mirror in the visor or removing the whole visor. I would like to remove the whole visor assembly from the rod, not just the mirror. After I unhook it from the electrified post, and pivot it out toward the window, I can slide the visor on the rod until it apparently hits a "stop" at the end of the rod, that's still inside the visor. Is this what you suggest I compress?
