Need help to buy an 06 ML500
Hi everybody, I am thinking of buying a 2006 ML500 with Nav, no air suspension with 150K Km about (90k mile), what should I look for, or should I scramb?? By looking at it, really clean and extremely nice, I am drooling. What I am worry is the maintenance and realibilty of this MB.
Thanks for any advise

I had an 06 ML 350 and loved it. I was going to buy out the lease when the lease was up in 09 however I started to experience transmission problems. My independent MB mechanic advised against buying the car. I do not know if the 06 ML 500 had the transmission issues the 350's did but aside from this I loved the car. I have an 09 ML 350, which is almost identical to the 06. I love everything about this SUV and am buying out the lease when it is up in May.
Good luck

our 06 500 is a great road tripper, quiet, fast, and at about 20 mpg avg on the highway, not bad. With 80k miles still tight. The problems we have had are: ABS modul, Air compresser (you don't have one) and a brake peddle pressues sensor were the biggies. We keep having the brake lights fail, that was caused by a poor connection at the bulb, and I just fixed a power steering leak by replacing the seal between the fluid vessel and pump (a one screw/clip under $5.00 fix).
Now for the bad part: Iv never bonded with this car/truck, it works but I just don't realy like it.
Tires have been lasting on the avg: 30k
Brake: pads 40k front, Rotors changed at 60k with rear pads
