Hi there, I just bought a second hand 2007 ML350 benz from my dad's friend.

The problem is, Whenever I turn the lighting into the "Auto" Mode, the foglamps keep blinking like a discotheque.
1. Left On, Right Off
2. Left Off, Right On
3. Both are on
4. back to 1

I was wondering if there are problems with the ECU? or it's just how it works?

Is this happening when you are turning the wheel? They are turn illuminating. I personally dont care for that function and run with the fogs on all the time.

Well, I personally dont care about the foglamp problem. What make me worry is, if there are problems with this car?

Service record shows that, the last time he did a routine check was like 2 years ago

How many miles since last service? Is it possible he had it serviced at an independent?

I need to do a cross check with him whether he has an. But the last time he had a recorded service with authorized dealer was like 56k KM, and now it is like 78k KM.

This is very normal for a car with the lighting package.

The fog lamps are curve illuminating and they turn on individually at speeds under 25mph to illuminate dark driveways and alleyways. The right one turns on when turning right and vise a versa. They both illuminate at speeds under 15mph when starting off.

Completely normal.
