Any thoughts on where I could purchase a 2009-2011 rear bumper skid plate with the hitch option for a ML63...........I would like to perform the "mod" as a few have done on here..I have the tips already..I am just looking for the skid plate to accomodate the quad pipes...........Thanks......

Question One other question.........

This lower rear bumper skid plate looks identical from the 550 to the AMG 63 one, the only difference being the 63 one is stainless steel and the 550 one is plastic chrome....My dealership indicated to me that it is not a direct fit between the two, and mentioned that I needed a whole new AMG bumper to accomodate this modification....Is anyone able to confirm this ???? I am looking at the 2009-2011 rear bumpers....

You do need a new rear bumper. The ML63 bumper is cut/shaped for the quad tips/rear apron. When you look at an ML63 you can see the bumper is fully painted and doesn't have a black textured portion near the bottom.

Its not like the 06-08 ML where you just have to change out the apron to do quad tips.

If his ML550 already has the "sport package" AMG rear bumper, then it's likely that all he'd need to do is switch out the diffuser area.
