Overnight-Dead battery

Parked the 2012 ML-350 BlueTEC in the garage last night. Went to start it this morning and battery was dead. Jump started no problem. Checked the obvious-headlight switch is on auto and the interior lights automatically turn off in time. Ideas to why this happend are welcome. TIA 77tony
