2005 ML500 Special Edition
05 ML500 Winter season?

I own 2005 ML500 Special Edition, I'm very pleased with it haven't had any problems besides regular service.. However it has started to snow and I I've heard good things about these trucks in winter conditions, I'm curious if there is a certain drive train I should have the truck in while I'm driving on the highway and the city in general. I noticed there is a low range option but I'm almost positive it's mainly for off roading, also there is a - and + option as well, would switching the gear to one of these help the trucks performance in snow/icy conditions? FIRST Mercedes btw! I bought it for my 18th birthday, but I don't want to screw anything up! Most of all I want to make sure I'm driving in the correct setting for the truck in the seasons and weather conditions mentioned above. Advice and help is appreciated!

'14 E63S, '13 G550, '06 E320 cdi, and a bunch of other stuff.
Dedicated snow tires and driving cautiously are your best weapons for making through the winter.

The wrong tires can make winter driving an absolutely miserable experience.
