Installing distronic on w164 2006 320cdi
Hi guys,
I am trying to install the distronic system on my w164.
I looked for al information in forums but I have these problems:
My car has no radar wire as other car has near the horns. But into the fuse box f58 i can see the 117 fuse installed. Can i think that the radar sensor wire is installed or not?
If my car has no radar sensor wire how can i get it? Must I change the steering stalk and instrument cluster?

Yes you'll need the radar sensor and steering stalk. I believe the cars are wired for it, but you've got to do the star programming as well. You should also update the grille even though Distronic is operable with the old one. The shield just protects the sensor from the elements.

Thank you very much for answering. I think the same like you but i saw in EPC the components in fusebox. I saw the conexions under 117 fuse and the conexion number 6 is the distronic one but there is no wire starting from, so I think there is no wire. See these videos and tell me.

Sorry I couldn't tell you about the fuse. But that guy I linked you to knows everything about these things. There's also some other members here that may be able to chime in- but the W164 boards aren't that modification friendly!

Hello again, i installed wire a dtr ecu but i have problem with my esp version. It doesnt have distronic option, so please could you read your esp number (the part number on the black part) and tell me if you can read the codes 213 PML and 219 DTR.
