Hold feature

I'm not sure for which models the hold feature is standard and for which it's not but my 2011 E Class, equipped with P1 and Distronic Plus (and not much else),has it.It's pretty easy to deploy...when you're at a complete stop just firmly press the brake pedal and it will deploy (assuming you have it).It took me a couple of tries to master it but it's not difficult. You should see the word "hold" on the instrument panel if the feature's been activated properly.

Thanks Listerone for your reply.i have tried what you have suggested without success. I have ordered an e class to be delivered in June so really not a big deal. I assume my new vehicle will have this feature. Thanks again.

I believe the 2011 only has hill start assist which is automatic. The manual claims it will hold for ~1 second, but when I stop in my driveway the car will hold itself there until I accelerate again. To my surprise, it also held while towing. I haven't tried to get it to engage at a stop sign but I don't remember seeing anything in the manual about it.
