2008 ml 350
Blown speaker in the rear

i believe my driver side rear (in the trunk) speaker has blown. Im not sure what to do, i can buy used on ebay but i am hesitant. Yet im afraid to go to the dealer with this. What to do guys?

If your car is a ML 350, that "speaker" is a Subwoofer and you can test by cranking up the volume with heavy bass.

My mistake any ideas on how to fix it? Its rattle and abnormally pounding.

Either get new one from a dealer, or trust eBay. If Eurocustoms on eBay have them, they seem good and get their stuff when upgrading new cars.

(edit, I originally said they were easy to remove, but on further thought, you may have to take out the side panel first, which isn't that difficult, just a few TORX bolts and screws)

Beware that they changed with MY2009, so worth getting the part number from your existing one. It will be A164 820 xx xx
