Traction control problems

Hi, I am new to this forum and hope that I can get help here and hopefully may be of help to the members of this forum in the future.
My 280 ML is applying the front brakes when I want to drive off and the yellow triangle appears on the dash. The brakes actually stop the car with a grinding noise – if I press the brake it disappears momentarily.
After going through all the mechanical options (drive shaft, transfer box etc.) without finding anything obvious I am coming to the conclusion that it is some electronic fault i.e. a censor of some kind.
Has anyone had some experience with this and is there a solution out there?
Unfortunately I have lost confidence in my MB garage after they diagnosed a problem with the torque converter when it actually was the injectors that were faulty.
Looking forward to hear some suggestions

Got it sorted, it was down to an ABS sensor on one of the back wheels. A € 21.00 item.
I hope this might help someone in the future
