What the secret on replacing side marker lights? @!%&!
Got the warning message that the right side marker light was out on our 2007 ML...got the replacement bulbs from Advance Auto parts, fired up the trouble light and peek in the hood on the right side.
Found the marker light dangling next to the headlight housing...must have fallen out after just narrowly avoiding a monster pothole south of Chicago (a poor Audi driver was pulled over w a flat after hitting it)
After replacing the bulb and consulting the pictures on page 483 of the manual I twisted my hand around to try and find the location of the marker bullb...in the manual pics it appears under the main headlight housing....could not locate the slot to put it back in![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
So I will try upon return from travels (with the help of a wacky looking cosmetic mirror my daughter got for me from CVS) I will have another go at this...
The frame and fender wells make this a job for someone who can bend their wrists 270 degrees...maybe I wait till the circus comes to town and I find a contortionist!![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
Any steer prior to my return and having a go with the Lady Gaga mirror is always welcome from MB formum members!

Dropped by the dealer...even the service manager could not flex enough to get at the bulb socket. He recommended coming by so they can take the wheel and the fender off...

It's a bear. Last time I tried, I just loosened the fender and gained access by removing the headlamp. Loosening the fender also is tricky.
