Refurbed 20" MB wheel weight question
Hi all, new member.
I picked-up a set of refurbished 20x9 MB wheels (85278) for my 2010 ML350. 3 of the wheels weigh 37.6 lbs. The 4th wheel weighs 39 lbs. Would the 1.4 lbs difference matter in performance/handling? There's no noticeable difference in the 4th wheel...it's stamped on the inside just as the others are. Just odd that 3 are the precise same weight and the 4th is off by so much.

I believe that when they refurbish a lightly scratched wheel, they actually scrape/sand a thin layer of the metal off the face (obviously for deep scratches and curbs, they need to fill it first). To me, it sounds like 3 of the original wheels were scratched up.. and needed to be scraped down, hence the weight loss. I'm surprised its such a difference though.
