Diesel issues
I have a used 2010 ML 350 Blue tec. (total miles are 65,000) that I have put 13000 miles on in less than one year.
Only two times in my life have I had to be towed off a highway both with this car.
The first time was a a stop light when the engine stopped and could not be restarted.
Call MB road service to transport the vehicle to the dealership.
1 day later the car was fixed. ( a fuel pick up hose in the fuel tank fell off ),
Last Wed while on a 6 lane H/W in New Jersey and nearing completion of a
400 mile round trip the cars engine stopped running at 65 mph causing me to
have to coast to the side of the busy road and stop.
MB Roadside assist sent out a wrecker to pick up my car but I had to pay for a second wrecker to tow my motorcycle trailer with two expensive BMW and another brand secured on the trailer ) $150.00
Dealership in Paramus NJ got to work on the car but no Joy, the cause was a broken fuel pump and had to be ordered.
They gave me a very nice loaner ( ML 350 2013 ) that luckily had a trailer hitch installed.
Worked out well as I was able to get home to CT with the Bikes and trailer.
I am now waiting for a call from them when my car is repaired.
Has anybody had theses issues or any issues with have a trailer towed when to tow very is broken at additional costs?
