How to access the COMAND engineering menu in a 2011 ML 300?

Hello there!

I've recently bought a 2011 ML 300, and have been pretty impressed with it so far. However, I was disappointed to learn that you can't stream music over Bluetooth, only calls. When googling for a way to do that, I learned that it's possible to access the engineering menu and there's an option to enable it there. I know people get mixed results, but it's always worth a try.

I've tried the HANGUP+POUND+1 key combination, but it doesn't work. Does anyone know how to access the engineering menu in the newer SUVs (mine uses COMAND)?

Also, is the only other way to enable streaming music from my iPhone 4S connecting it to an AUX cable (which I bet you'd have to pay extra for a mechanic to mod in)?

From the COMMAND Owners Manual available at

http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/servic...owners_manuals

There should be an AUX Jack in the glovebox.

You can connect an external audio source
(AUX) to COMAND. The socket for this is
located in the glove box.
If COMAND is equipped with a Media
Interface, external audio sources are
connected using the associated cable set.
The audio cable set replaces the audio AUX
socket.
i You can find more information on the
Internet at http://www.mercedesbenz.
com/connect and in the "Media
Interface mode" section (Y page 143).

Thanks for the info, I never would have thought that those holes inside the armrest were cable jacks! I've ordered the appropriate cables and I hope I'll be able to enjoy music from my audio devices now. Thanks for the help!
