Best method to check codes is through the dealer or an indie with MB Star software. The typical aftermarket code reader does not give specific MB codes.

codes read as follows p0414 secondary air injection system valve A circuit shorted. p2009 intake manifold runner control circuit low bank 1 p0037 ho2s heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 2 p0057 ho2s heater control circuit low bank 2 sensor 2 p0031 ho2s heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 1 p0051 ho2s heater control circuit low bank 2 sensor 1 seems like i lost all power to the 02 sensor heaters. and maybe the circuit controls the secondary air valve and the manifold runner circuit? i have the fuse location sheet but it dose'nt list a circuit for this?

I just got all these same codes early today plus a few more p0245 p0248 ... I am leaning towards a failing air pump.. But my car is overheating. Did you trace down your particular problem? I have inspected all my fuses battery connections , I can not find any wires that look to be detached causing a short ground. I'm thinking it all relates to one thing malfunctioning and tripping several sensors. I did do a new thermostat and water pump just last month. If anyone has had this before and knows what to look for I would also gladly appreciate any info. Thanks

iv'e been a bit sick and its kinda cold so i really have'nt been able to do the full diagnostic yet. i did check the 40amp fuse for that circuit but i believe there is a relay to check as well i was going to remove the air pump and see if it operates on the bench 12v. also there is a check valve that prevents water etc from entering the air pump. i also replaced my thermostat a few months ago and i paid special attention to routing the air lines and wiring on replacement. mine does not overheat. if anyone knows what relay controls that circuit i would appreciate it. other than that i think ts just a case of checking connections and wiring and air lines.

thanks for the info. so the sensor in the thermostat housing was shorted? causing your codes. i got mine from mb but that dosent mean it cant have the same issue i guess. i am waiting for a workshop manual so i can trace the wiring and see where these components are if the sensor was bad do you know what the sensor should read if good? as in ohms or voltage etc thanks again

I got all these error code also for my R350. Took a while to figure it out. I did changed the thermostat using a cheap one a few month ago. I thought that was the issue so I bought a new real one from MB and changed it. Still the same issue. I checked fuse 104, it indeed broken. I changed. Still the same errors. I looked around. I think the installation may be wrong. These errors are related to the air pump. I did removed the air pump when I installed the thermostat. Something must be wrong when I installed the air pump. Then I uninstalled the air pump. I found there are two transparent small pipes. I didn't pay attention before. I must put these pipes at the back of the airpump. They are kind of cut off when I put them at back of the air pump, tightening up the air pump must be sqeezed these pipes. So I put these pipe carefully in front of the air pump this time. Guess what it fixed the issue. Hopefully this helps.
