Where does this wire connect to?

Can someone help me tell where this wire connects to under the oil pan? Wife hit the curb and tore off the plastic engine undercover the car. Warning came on to check oil level. No sign of oil leak. Oil level on dipstick good. The wire is cut and not connected now after incident. Replaced the engine undercover. No sign of loose wire under SUV. If replacing the oil switch needed, what would be the part number? Thanks in advance. 2009 ML320 Bluetech

That looks like to oil level sensor, so the other end should go into the wiring harness somewhere.

If you can't find the other end hanging , it was probably pulled out from where it went into the wiring loom.

Probably the best bet is to find a similar year ML and trace it back.
