it looks like I have some water/liquid damage to my front right SAM, had a laundry detergent bottle leak in the rear footwell.... Cleaned out the mess, but have now a problem with the front right blinker being constantly on to where it drains the battery dead...
Water and liquid has entered into the battery compartment, I found some threads discussing water damage to SAM modules... Where is mine? Is it the module with fuses on the left side of the battery towards the center console?
Can I remove it and try to clean and dry it? or is all lost?
If I replace it, does it need to be programmed? I found a new one listed at a little less than $400
I saw this advertised as a SAM for a 2007 ML350? would water damage here cause my front blinker problems?
The picture above is what I found advertised on e-bay...I could try to remove that module and clean it out.... any thoughts???
Actually I found out that picture above is just a fuse block.... Can't find the front SAM, there is a black box on the right side of the battery, it is covered by a black shield, I think that May be the SAM, but I can't figure out to remove it....
