The Glow plug and CEL lights stay lit while driving. I changed the glow plug controller figuring it was probably time anyway. The only engine code I get is 2268-001 (Error on transmitting LIN message). Dealer says alternator, but when I run the engineering display on the dash the regulator is showing 13.9v-14v. Any ideas on next steps to isolate the error?

 

P2268 says Water in fuel on a lot of lists.

 

Changed the Alternator, the voltage display looks the same, but the glow plug light goes on/off and stays out as normal, so i guess the regulator was putting bad data onto the network giving the glow plug module fits. All looks good now.
