I was following this guide:

I have the messages:
1. Brake lamp, right
2. Brake lamp, left Substitute bulb on

When I signal right on the SUV, I get a hyper flicker

When I test the wiring, I connect the red wire to slot 4, violet/black.

When I hit the brakes during this test, nothing happens, however it responds to right signal.

Any ideas? I believe the bulbs are fine in the brakes

I think this might be the fix? Just seems confusing since the wire is responding to signal. Will buying the updated harness fix this?
