Liftgate Only Opens Half Way
Whenever I use the remote or door switch for the liftgate, it goes up about half way and then stops. It will then go down and lock normally by either switch. The only problem is that it opens half way.
Not sure if it's coincidence but I changed both batteries yesterday. Both were removed at the same time so I had to re-program some of the windows as instructed in one of the forums. Maybe a re-programming is needed for the liftgate? I tried to research the forums and the internet but have found no solutions.
I did come across a thread that mentioned an electrical drain in the liftgate area and the rear fuse box under some circumstances. It mentioned the dealer doing a software upgrade to something in the rear fuse box.
Beginning to think the battery icon I had earlier was a result of a constant drain. The auxiliary battery did test bad, but maybe it was due to something in the liftgate system that caused it? I guess with new batteries, time will tell..

Re-program it..manually lift all the way up...press and hold button...check your manual for proper procedure

Thanks for timely information. I first scrolled to the settings page and changed the liftgate limiter to off. Now all is good. Appreciate you fellow members!

The limiter is so your liftgate doesn’t hit top of garage door opening or the garage door itself. Check if this could be a problem.
