Loss of power possibly due to faulty Inlet Port actuator.
The engine has lost a lot of power (virtually overnight) and I think it is driving in 'emergency mode'. The yellow engine management light is on. I have been told that the ML320's have a history of the Inlet Port Actuator breaking down and having to be replaced. The actuator I understand in internal and requires the inlet manifold to be removed.
Has anyone else any similar history with their car and are their any other known possible causes.
Thank you,
Peter.
In my case, the fault code was 2078-008; Component B28/8 -Pressure differential sensor- which monitors the diesel particulate filter.
My fault was a bit different as it would sometimes run fine, but then the next time I started it it would be in limp mode.
Not sure we have the same problem, but getting the code read is the easiest first step.
Good luck!

I think it is running faster since I did it
Search Jeep forum for more information or just add your subject word 'resistor'
I put the car into 'dry-dock' and the problem was a seized inlet port actuator and broken connecting arm.
The complete inlet manifold assy was replaced.
Problem fixed.
Thanks to all for your replies.
Pete.
