Thud in the rear suspension

Thud in the rear suspension
My thud is specific to hitting a bump only. Turning, accelerating, braking, or rate of speed has no bearing. If I hit a bump it sounds waay exaggerated. It sounds like I am doing damage. Very recent 4 wheel brake service resulted in no leads even though I asked the trusted tech to check it out while car was up and wheel was off.
Passenger rear on '07 ml350 with 104k.
I do not think its a strut/shock issue. Bounces back well. I recently replaced the actuator on the door but it all feels solid. I have looked for anything loose in the wheel storage and first aid to no avail. It really sounds suspension related but I was surprised the tech found nothing. Maybe he missed it somehow.
