DIY Use RSE as an AUX input
Disclaimer: Use the following information at your own risk. This approach worked for me and i don't see why it wouldn't for you however i do not accept any responsibility.
My W164 has the Comand APS NTG 2 and as some of you already may know, you can not have both the iphone module and an AUX input. My car was not equipped with an RSE, so I decided to use the RSE input as an AUX input.
First things first, you'll need an AUX adapter cable which can be cheaply purchased on ebay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AUX-Adapt...item3a901bc0e9)
As the cable was designed to use the factory AUX input you'll need to break off the tab (circled in red) to allow for it to fit into the slot for the RSE input.
Then you'll need to undo the pins from the AUX cable, and re-insert them accordingly:
29 - Left
30 - GND
35 - Right
36 - GND
Refit everything back together, now when you select RSE, you will have an AUX input.
