Issue with key fob and anti-theft system
My wife's been having an issue with her key fob and the alarm in her ML350.
Both key fobs are only working if she's within about 5 feet of the car, and the alarm is going off at random times for seemingly no reason.
I replaced the batteries in the key fob, but it made no difference.
Any thoughts?

I have similar problem of key fob not working unless I'm practically besidethe driver's door. Researched on several MB forums and tried the following:
1. Press & hold both lock & unlock simultaneously. Didn’t work/
2. Insert key fob into ignition and turn to #2 position but don’t start.Remove and while holding lock button, press unlock button 5 times within 10seconds. This worked for a while (3 – 4 lock/unlocks) and then had to be doneagain.

2014 GLK 250
My car started doing this last night. I replaced the key FOB batteries on both of them and its still doing it. Its driving me insane, not quite sure what to do. I think I have to take battery out. Could the Mercedes computers have been hacked?
