Rain Sensor Cover + Parktronic issue

Rain Sensor Cover + Parktronic issue
Hi everyone,
I'm really new to the whole M-class range (have had a CLK for the past 5 years). Just bought this 07 ML420 CDI from someone. Looked like a good deal but didn't do a thorough check.
Two things I need help with:
1. I'm missing a rain sensor cover - I've looked EVERYWHERE! and only found CLK and E class sensor covers... and can't even find the part number... it's really bugging me
2. The seller told me that the parking sensors were definitely working before I took the car. Four red lights come up when i turn them on, an beep sounds for 3 seconds, and the lights go off after 20 seconds. I've checked to see if the parking sensors make any ticking sound... nothing
... so i'm now left with the unpleasurable trip to the stealer to get the parktronic system checked on star.... So, any other checks I can do before forking out my children's inheritance would be much appreciated!!
