ML350 2010 dash says "service c" due, manual lists 60,000 mile service- what is "c"?

Hi- I just purchased a 2010 ML350 gas 4matic with 59,950 miles. My dash is saying service c is due but the maintenance manual just lists various things that need to be done at 60,000 miles- I've read elsewhere that the service c involves changing spark plugs but the 60,000 service in the manual just lists an oil change and cabin filters as the big items, with various inspections as the rest of the things that need to be done.
What do I do? Just got the car, looking for any advice here.

Greetings! My two cents ....
It sounds like you do not have any service history for this vehicle that you purchased. When I buy a used vehicle, I usually like to take it to the dealer at least once for a "baseline" service. That way, any open recalls can be checked to see if they are performed. They can also reset your service light correctly (sometimes I've found they can get out of sync with the mileage if they are not reset correctly.)
Additionally, the dealer might be willing to give you the service history, but that's only if the previous owner ever took it back into the dealer for service.

Hi Iansilv - My 2009 GL320 passed 70k last week. I have "service C overdue 900 miles" reminder light. Owners manual says service is rated by length of time to do recommended services. C is middle of pack.
I'm looking for info on how I can reset the reminder. My service is up to date. Probably take to dealer next couple of weeks for another issue but I would like to know how to reset service reminders. Will let you know if I find out how.

You have procedure on this website ...just use search and you can get a few links ..it is straightforward procedure which it could take 2 min to do it once you get in hidden menu. If you cannot find it, please let me know ...Originally Posted by A cer

Found one that worked for me. See video link. small difference on my GL - had to start at mileage screen, not mph like video, then everything else is the same.
