2010 ML 350 Has No DRL nor automatic fog lights

I just purchased this vehicle and discovered that it does have Automatic headlights switch, but the lights come on only at night time. So this vehicle does not have daytime running lights.

Also to turn on the Fog lights at the same time as the headlights, I must pull the switch and turn it clockwise until that position, so no automatic Fog lights either.

I was thinking about installing the aftermarket LED-fog light DRL kit, but I will have the same issue because the car does not turn on the lights during daytime.

What do I need to do if I want to have Daytime Running lights as the fog lights to come on automatically? is that possible or do I always have to turn the lights switch on no matter what?

Thanks for your advise.

1) US ML's have an option through your lighting settings and the steering wheel menus to turn off or on DRL. I cant say how cause my Canadian model doesn't have that option. We are forced to have DRL always on. Which sucks cause I got the LED Fogs and now I have both the headlights and Fogs on at the same time.

2) You can get the LED Fogs on ebay and wire them to a permanent power supply. This way they are always on when the car is operational. Here is a link for installing them. https://mbworld.org/forums/m-class-w...ml#post6372492

I was able to turn on the DRL option for the Headlights. Thank you !

Did you do the FOG light to LED conversion? It looks nice, but not sure if the LED fog light kit is bright enough during daytime.

What is your experience? is it worth the $200 upgrade?

Yes I did it myself.

Oh trust me its very bright during the day. Almost to bright for the night.

Easy to install. Worth the upgrade. And it makes the ML look slick and current with todays cars being produced.
