Issue with climate control (heater control)
Hi guys i have a annoying problem with my climate unit on my ML 350 '06. When I try to turn the knob on lower temperature on passanger's side the temperature it doesn't change. But when I turn it to the left (high temp) it changes right away. The problem is only for the knob on passanger's side. There is no problem with the other one. I recorded a video to see the problem:

I think the problem is mechanical, not software. I can read the car with STAR Diag. but i'm not sure if it tell me something. I saw in other forums that there is a small metal piece in the back of the knob whitch makes contact with climate plate in the back of console.
But if i can catch the problem with Star what i have to look for? Which codes are for these issues ?

This is a known problem... It's mechanical. Here's a hack that gets it going. Turn the knob half of a click..pause.... then turn it half of a click back... pause.. Then turn it half of a click... and so on. I can post a video if you wish...

Hi, thanks for the answer. Do you know if this hack will fix the problem or it's just a temporary stolution? If it's temporary how can i fix it in general? And if you have a video it will be very helpful.

This is a temporary (real-time) work around. I haven't taken mine out to attempt to fix for fear of ruining it permanently. When I do I'll create a video and post.
