2007 Mercedes ML320CDI - Maintenance after 2 years in storage
Hello guys, I have a Mercedes ML320CDI (W164) that was in storage for 2 years and I'm planning to restart using it now. The car was on an indoor garage, the battery was connected to a battery tender and the engine was fired up from time to time for 10-15 minutes.
I was wondering, except the obvious oil change that is needed, what else should I worry about, or need to do?
Thanks in advance!!

Surface rust on shocks will likely cause the seals to fail shortly.
High risk of the DPF clogging - run a lot of cetane booster in there for the first couple tanks to get a good burn - I would recommend taking it out for a good 200km drive (120 miles)
-fuel filter
-air filters - clean out all the plastic intake parts because they're probably full of spiders.
-cabin air filter - it's probably gross and moldy

Oh yes . . . start driving it regularly . . . letting cars sit for long periods of time is the worst thing you can do for them.
Get some fresh diesel in there. It's a lot more stable than gasoline, but 2 two years is far too long for ULSD.
