Buy warranty or not for used car? What do you think?
I was BMW sports car user before in another country. Got a 2010 ML350 4Matic from Bob Moore dealer( Traded in), the first car bought in U.S. and first Mercedes-Benz.
-90+K mileage
-one owner
-not checked mechanically before purchase based on trust.
-everything runs fine and smooth.
Question1: Dealor said pre-owned cars will go through prossess of fluids change. Can I believe in that?
Question2: Should I buy extra warranty? And what kind of coverage?
Question3: Is there any kind of particular common problem I should prepare myself?
Thank you for your detailed answer.

In my experience of (trying to) use my warranty 3 times on my 2008 ML 350 I'd say consider not getting a warranty. The default is to deny the claim.
"Improper use", "Insufficient care of vehicle", "accidental damage", "Not pre-authorized repair" were the sorts of terms used by the CarMax MaxCare package.
Even when they do pay, they only pay a percentage of the cost, after the deductible of course.
Considering the insurance cost in the order of a couple of thousand dollars, it has not nearly been worth it despite a few problems that ought to have been covered.
All service performed by MB USA punctually, BTW.
Your mileage may vary.
PD.

In my opinion it would be crazy not to get an extnded warranty, beware of who you get it from or most likely you will have the same issues as Mamalade. I had Mercury Extended Warranty which was offered by AAA it cost me around 3k and the covered approx $15,000 in repairs with no issues, shop it around as the price varies. Best of luck
