New tire options for ML350
Anyway she offered a 25% discount per tire for new Pirellis......does that sound like a good deal or should I work them for more?
I'm looking at the Pirelli Verde All Season PLUS from Tire rack for $217 each, throw in that discount and it comes out to $162, $648 for a set of 4.....
A couple years ago, Michelin "reinvented" their LTXs and produced a size to fit my ML350. I had a set of the original LTXs on a Lexus RX300 several years ago and they were long lived and very well behaved - so I gave it a shot.
Michelin had a deal with a rebate that ran out last week. I got the the Premier LTXs. I notice that there is never any squealing on cloverleaf type ramps - even when I push a bit.
The Premier LTXs are H rated tires with a treadwear of 620. The Contis were H rated with a treadwear of 680. Yes, I know that the ratings may not compare across brands. Anyway, my feeling is that either of these H rated and high treadwear rated tires would be a choice with good lifetime and value.

I went a couple rounds with cheaper tires and high performance tires and found I just wasn’t getting the tire life. The worst was Toyo high performance tires which went bald after 10,000kms.
