2011 ML550 Skid Plate Finish Bubbling
Hey all,
Has anybody had issues with the finish of their skid plate bubbling up? I was cleaning my truck this past weekend and noticed that the finish was bubbled.
I figure that there's some rust going on underneath the finish. I thought the skid plate was solid stainless steel but based on what I see it looks like it's not. The bubbles have not broken yet but I fully expect for them to in the future.
Any recommendations for where to source a new or even used one for future reference?

I think that you likely have to replace the whole bumper cover. It doesn't look like this is sold as a separate OEM part.
You can always check eBay or Aliexpress.com for an aftermarket part. Or you can check scrap yards undamaged ones.
