The side mirror hit the door.
When my vehicle close the right side mirror, it hit the door.
Can I repair it?
Do I have to replace the assy?

Mine does it too (on the drivers side)
someone with a GL told me his does, and I said "no, my truck never does it". Then I looked at my truck the next day and there was a scratch!
If you look at the top crease on your odor, there is a scratch/scuff and that is from the mirror touching the door. When you park it in wind, it moves the mirror back and forth against the door and scratches it.
They all do it from what I can tell, some worse than others. All you can do is disable the folding mirrors (it's in the instrucment cluster settings menu)

MBWorld Fanatic!
There is a Mercedes tech bulletin on this.
The solution is to replace the mirror internal mechanism (keep your glass and cover)
