ECU/ECM for 2006 ML350
I am looking for the correct ECM part # that will work with my 2006 ML350
VIN 4JGBB86E16A021104.
My original ECU was determined to be faulty, and my mechanic swapped out my ECU with an used replacement part thinking it will work, but it turned out that it did not even after reprogramming. It is possible that he did not get the right ECU for the vehicle. I am very disappointed with his service, and decided to look for another mechanic to help with the repair.
I am trying to determine the right ECU for the vehicle using the VIN, and hopefully I can make sure that the mechanic is getting the right part this time.

Out Of Control!!
You got foooooooooked my your mechanic----everyone who works on MB knows you cant use a donor ECU without first virginizing the ECU and then flash with the correct files.
If you don't virginize the ECU the old VIN is still resident and the car will never pass DAS and start.He blew smoke up your ***.
The only and correct ECU for your VIN is 272 153 17 79
FYI: call any tunner and ask how much they charge to virginize an ECU---all you want back is a good blank---then find someone with DAS Xentry with SCN capacity to flash the module---compare that with new and a flash!!
