Strange behavior - "Computer" issues
My 2010 W164 (2WD) has been acting strangely....
Started with "ABS Issues" due to wheel speed sensors. The car wouldn't go over 20MPH. To "help" this, I put the car in dyno mode. Car ran normally - no ABS, but it went over 20MPH.
Finally took it to a mechanic and replaced all 4 wheel speed sensors.
Then the strangeness happened. When I tried to return from dyno mode, it would not. Although it shows it is not in dyno mode when I get to that panel, the messages show it is. I have error messages (ABS, sometimes ESP) and sometimes it will not shift out of the current gear.
Sometimes it follows a strange pattern; The windshield wipers cycle once, then I get messages like "Cruise control inoperative", "DSR inoperative" and a few others, and the car will not shift out of the current gear.
We have connected it to various computer/diagnostic tools, and no pattern to errors. I went to dealer and they connected it to the dealer diagnosis system and they claimed it was the steering wheel position sensor, but they would not show me the results of the diagnosis.
Three different mechanics have looked at it (including the dealer) and no one can figure out where to start.
Any suggestions/insights?

Out Of Control!!
The factory diagnosis indicated a steering angle sensor, however you dismissed that as HS------my guess is that you have to many beer bottles in the back seat!!

Mine had the same issues, minus the wipers, gear sticking, and 20MPH. It was in fact the steering sensor. My indy diagnosed the system and found it continuously measured 6 degrees to the right. About 1h later and $500 lighter, I was out the door and everything has been good since.
