Tires and Side Steps

A few questions. New owner of a 2009 ML320, my third diesel Mercedes. My previous ones were a 75 and a 78. This one feels a bit squirrely, it's my understanding that it's a different steering system. I feel like maybe new tires would help, it has Bridgestones on now, and they are pretty worn. I'm getting lots of opinions, my dealer says Continental, but all the new ones in the showroom have Pirellis. I have always been a Michelin fan. So, finally a question. I live in Florida, snow not a factor.... what tires do you ML owners like best? I just want smooth, quiet and road hugging..... the other thing is mine has the side steps, for short people. I don't want them, if anyone in central Florida wants them, I will trade for what you have on yours to replace them..... here's a photo of them.

Check out Tirerack and read the reviews.

Pirelli Verde Plus seem to be very good (don't forget the PLUS the verde without the plus are not good)

Michelin should be good as well.

I don't know about the Continental.

The car I'm eying to buy has Dunlop on them - not good.

I ran only Dunlops on my 75 and 78, they were great.
