Comand 2.0 Bluetooth Music...

Figured I'd toss this out there for anyone interested in getting BT audio - I was able to get bluetooth audio (for music) working on my 07 ML320 CDI with stock headunit by installing a 30 pin iPod connector and
a bovee 1000. a bovee 1000.

I'm using an iPhone 7+ as my source, and it sounds line I'm directly connected using the aux plug in the glovebox - and as a bonus, the steering wheel controls work as they would as is an iPod is connected! I've also got a BT puck installed for handsfree calling, and am happy to report that both music playback and handsfree calling functionality play nice. The music pauses without fuss when I receive or place a call - audio automatically switches to the MB puck for the call and once complete switches back to the bovee adaptor. Saying "Hey Siri" also works - with the music automatically pausing, the phone switching to the MB BT puck, and the microphone for the headunit doing the listening for commands.

I'll make a video sometime this week showing how everything works, but it has been almost flawless for the 3 months I've been using it. I say almost because every once in a while it will have a hiccup where I'll be playing music in Spotify and when I hit next will switch to a U2 song in Apple Music that came bundled with the phone (though I think this is my phone being silly)

Anywho, cheers!

What did you use to connect the old school 30 pin Apple plug to the car?

Did you use the old MB iPod adapter?

Check the discription

If you look at the description on Amazon the Bovee 1000 is designed to connect to a 30 pin iPod connector.

What I mean is what are you using to get the 30 pin connector in the first place?

Are you using the old MB iPod adapter box and harness?

There is supposed to a cable with the unit from what I understand. I would assume that justinwrock already had the old iPhone connections in the vehicle as this is how the Bovee 1000 connects to the car.
I personally am not an Apple fan and replaced my headunit to get my Bluetooth connection.
