trailer brake lights on constantly

I added a factory hitch to my 2010 Bluetech, and since i did not have the correct rear sam to support trailer wiring (socket missing), I got a used replacement rear sam, and had i coded by a indy shop. They added option 550 (tow) to the build and flashed the module, however the running lights, backup lights and turn signals do nothing. All that happens is that both brake lights are on constantly. The +12v works, but that is not part of the rear sams function, and was working even with the old sam. At this point Im thinking of just switching over to a PWM adapter.

Please read step #15. Besides the rear SAM being coded, the Central Gateway Mod. must also be coded.

Just confirmed with the shop that they did set the detect option to true. At least the generic module is only $60

But you are not saying if both modules were programmed individually.
