Brake wear warning

Getting break warning on message board. Any suggestion on what brake kit to buy. Do you have to replace the sensors?

On a previous forum post you mentioned staying away from dealer for these type of repairs. So why would you tell me to buy these from the dealer?

What about the rotors? Not even mentioned by either of you. Is it usually just pads & sensors that are needed?

http://www.akebonobrake.com/
$48.79 rear comes with sensor

$71.79 front from RockAuto
Seems like rotors would be PowerStop or About $100 for front & $70 for rear

I don't know what post you are referring to, but I know I probably meant that you should do it yourself and not have the dealer do it.

Manny times aftermarket sensors send false signals, hence purchasing them from the dealer.

In you original post you only ask about brakes and sensors, and nothing about rotors.

And instead of just posting assumptions, you should say THANK YOU to those who have provided help to you.

I guess I thought when discussing brake wear message on the in dash info center it might require pads & rotors. Therefore an inquiry on the forum about suggestions on what parts (break kit) I might get responses to all pertinent parts I might require to satisfy the message. Unfortunately I'm not the most mechanical person. I may not know exactly how to ask the question as I am new to any forum group of any kind. I certainly didn't think I was assuming anything, I kinda thought that was the idea of inquiring on a forum. I thought I did thank you & others that have commented on my 3 recent inquiries. If not then I apologize and maybe have not totally received or understood the responses. You Maj. seem to be very active on this particular forum. You obviously are knowledgeable about this particular truck but come off as a little arrogant. As in asking me to update my CP, criticizing my manners, & sending me info such as on the blinker light post that I feel was way more complicated than what I needed. All I wanted to know was, replace the plastic socket or install the after market wiring harness. I have one light with a problem. The rear blinker. Left used to do it, now it doesn't. Right does it now more than left ever did but not all the time. My experience with having brakes repaired on previous autos is pads & rotors are usually replaced. Rotors are seldom turned anymore. How ever this is my first Mercedes, it was used with 175k miles on it. Maybe rotors don't wear on these vehicles like American. I don't know. I have a Service D scheduled for 9/20/2017 & they are obviously going to warn me of this brake message & I was just trying to get informed. So thank you for your time in trying to answer my questions. It has been very helpful. Did you have a suggestion on the rotors or an idea if I need them? I do not remember seeing anything in repair history as to brakes. I have a great mechanic who works on all German manufactured autos so I'm good there. I just don't like to take his time up until I have a better idea of what I need after I get a message on the in dash board. Thank you sir.
