2006 ML350 cranks but wont start
Hello, im just after buying the lady a ml350.. had it about a week and she pulled it out of the drive way, about 100 yards down the road it stops all motor functions. Electrical still seems to be working, key fab working also .. It will crank about 6 times, then stops. Wont turn on, also noticed the audio dash screen doesnt come on like it usually does when it started up. Tried to give it a jump and didnt seem to do anything.. I dont have a computer to connect to it and waiting on a mechanic to find time to come out to me. The guy i bought it from is a small dealership who has been promising me to get ti fixed but nothing has been done yet and my lady needs a vehicle to get around, work etc.. from what ive read it could be the fuel pump relay, fuel pump itself or a crank shaft sensor.. any ideas would be great as it is now just sitting in the garage. Any more info that could help just ask and ill do my best to answer!!

I had a similar issue where my car would crank just, but not turn on. I thought my battery was dead so I called up someone to jump start it for me. It turned out that the battery was fine, but because the car was parked at an incline (front end of the car higher than the rear), the car was unable to suck up enough fuel to get itself started. I had just over 1/4 tank of gas. We rolled it onto a level surface and it started fine. Hopefully this helps.

Following up on my previous post, I've discovered that if I place the car into Neutral and roll either backwards or forwards even a few inches while trying to start up the car, the car does start!
On cold mornings when the car cranks but wont start, I'll have to have to car roll a bit in either direction and the car starts like normal. Then I stop, let it warm up, and drive away. Anyone know what may be the reason for this?
