Hesitant starting ml350 Bluetec 2011
My merc does not always start the same.
There are times when it starts instantly, at first crank.
Other times starter turns a couple of times before the engine starts.
Outside, or engine temperature has no impact on it.
When parked overnight it takes afew cranks.
Usually starts easier when warmed up but not always.
Other than that it runs perfect. No hesitation when accelerating, runs smooth and is powerfull.
Could it be the fuel filter? Last changed in 2006 about 20000 ago.
No fault codes indicating any related problems.
I have pushstart button/smart key.
Changed battery and AdBlue system last week.

What you are describing indicates that it is a fuel leak down issue. What you need to do buy a Fuel Pressure Gauge.
When you park the veh. overnight, shut the eng. off and attach the gauge to the fuel pressure port. Restart the eng. and see that there is approx. 55psi and there is no fuel leak at the gauge. If so, shut the eng. and note the psi on the gauge. Then in the morning or at least 2hrs. later, note what the gauge reading is.
Anything below 35 psi indicates a faulty fuel filter/pressure regulator.
