2006 ML500
Aftermarket head unit troubles

I have a 2006 ML500 and I recently replaced my factory Command head unit with an aftermarket Android unit. All seemed to go well with the exception of cluster lights. After install i have a dim/bright, dim/bright flashing on my dash lights and general cluster lighting. It happens when my headlights are off, but not when I have the headlights on. I have the Harmon Kardon fiber optic setup and purchased the appropriate MOST interface and can bus interface. I decided to remove new system and re-install factory unit to try to isolate the problem to new system and issues went away. I'm assuming the issue lies with new setup since when I went back to factory all seems good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Aside from the obvious fact that you did not post any info to identify which unit you installed, these Chinese units are notorious to get to work properly. Claims that they interface with the car systems and work just like the Comand units are dubious, at best.
