2010 ML 350 Rough transmission
Hi Guys,
I own a 2010 ML 350 Base Utility with about 110K miles. It started to change gears rough from 2nd to 3rd more noticeable, but also happens when upshifting from 3rd to 4th roughly between 30 mph to 45 mph. If I press the gas hard it responds.. It never happens once it reaches 5th. I can easily cruise at 60 mph + without much hesitation.
I know that I've never done transmission service on it so my question is, Should I leave it as is until the transmission brakes or do you think that by performing a Transmission service (fluid/filter) will fix the issue? I'm planning in keeping the truck a couple more years since everything else works fine, but don't have $$$ to spend.
What do you guys recommend from experience ?
Thank you

The first thing that should be done is change the fluid and filter. But it has to be done with special equipment as there is no fill pipe like earlier MLs had. The fluid is now injected into the trans. by using a pump and special fitting.
