Brighter replacement bulbs for 2007 ML350?

Brighter replacement bulbs for 2007 ML350?

I used a polishing kits to buff out scratches on the headlight lenses...improved brightness a bit. However with the dank, dark February evening the standard bulbs I use are not bright enough.

Would welcome any steer on bulbs I could obtain from an auto parts store (aka use my Advance Auto Parts gift card).

I've tried all the bulbs over the years and the ML just has crap visibility with the halogens. When you get used to HIDs, nothing can improve these, perhaps just marginally

You're going to get marginal improvement from any halogen bulb.. just physics. You're better off going with an hid conversation kit.

I used my Advance Auto parts gift card on Xenon bulbs

Put them into today. Also did the 1500 grit wet sand and polish process on the headlight covers. Between those 2 actions I can't wait to try them out tonight. Will report back how things go.

It does seem sort of weird that the low beam lens cover is a opaque finish that looks like a cataract :
