Will these tires fit?

Hello, I have rep AMG wheels, the rim size is 20x9.5, right now I have 275/40/20 Nexxen tires on them but they're too rough and loud. I'm looking to upgrade my tires to a better set and I'm willing to spend more, but I was thinking 285/40/20 or 295/40/20, would anyone know if these would fit ok?

Hard to answer if you keep your car's year, model and VIN a secret....

For W164's with 20x9.5 rims the recommended tire sizes are 265/40/20 or 275/40/20 (per Brabus). 285/40/20 should be fine, but 295/40/20 is best suited for 20x10 rims. I am not a tire expert, but I would think that might be a possible explanation for the excessive roughness and noise. Someone with more knowledge than I on this subject might want to chime in and school us on the subject.

When trying to figure out which tire size is right for you and you're using non-standard rims on your car, first place to check is your owner's manual for a reference point, and then I use this tire size calculator tool on the web.

You should also look up at the top banner, click on "User CP" and enter your car info so the next time we don't have to guess (including the VIN please, as it is often needed to answer questions).
