New 2010 ML350 BT Owner, Issues Day 1
Then about an hour later I went to pick my GF up at work and I noticed the radio wasn't coming on until I got about 5 min into my drive. Then as I was driving the engine just quits on me. I pulled off the road and waited a min then tried starting it again, it fired up and I attempted to drive away. I didn't get far and it quits on me again. I call a tow truck at this point, I was getting anxious so after waiting about 15 min I figured id see if it would fire up, the engine cranked but no start. Now it threw a code which I don't have the scan tool for yet. I had the vehicle towed right back to the shop. I call the shop the next day and was told I ran out of fuel!! Now I had a half tank on the gauges but I was told my fuel gauge needs calibration!
Anyhow after doing some research here I haven't seen many threads regarding gas gauge calibration, my question is do you think this dealer is screwing with me to try and avoid a lemon law buy back or is this a common issue with these vehicles?
btw this is not a Mercedes dealership its an Indy dealer who sells mostly Benz and BMW, I found out after the fact the car has a lengthy carfax, I was presented a document from myfreecarfax.com at the dealer which didn't show accidents but when I got home and ran the full carfax I discovered it had accidents and a lengthy service history and that radio was replaced multiple times.
Ughhh what did I get myself into????
I put 200K on a C300 without any real issues thus building my faith in their product but to have this happen on day 1 and to read some of the other stories here really has me questioning this purchase.

Something tells me it might be the faulty documented HVAC blower that keeps running once it goes bad even if the car is off. This will drain your battery and make the systems even the radio go nuts.
See if you can charge the battery. Once you do see if there is a fan running sound while the car is off. Put your ear over the vent on the hood in front of the passenger seat side. If you hear it that's your problem. The HVAC blower is gone. Very common issue with all W164 models. A new part number has been released for it.
