GL VS ML Tow Hitch

I have a 2007 ML350 and need a tow hitch. I found one locally off of a 2008 GL450. The part numbers are different, but they look identical. Can anyone help me out with info on this. I called the dealer and they couldn't tell me anything besides the kit part numbers were different.

Thank you

If you think the GL kit might fit, and the price difference is high, buy it but ask for a return warranty if it doesn't fit. Make sure the GL kit is an -OEM- kit and not aftermarket. The aftermarket kits don't have the same towing capacity as the OEM kits.

They are different. The arms that go to the chassis are bent on one of them, I can't remember which, I've added a .pdf file..

And that is why if the part #'s are different, it is same to assume something is different enough that they are not interchangeable.

Thanks for the input guys. It looks like the GL one doesn't have the braces that come with the ML one.
