Do you not hear engine knocking or pinging when starting engine with 87 octane ? How long have you been using 87 ? I use 92 with anxiety ))

Lol Na ..its more of a status on your Reader when you do a Live feed of whats going on...if you throttle too ruff up a hill or something ..you might see on your scanner a few knocks and stuff...theres a video on youtube that shows something like that...anyone else here dipped a little lower into 87" ??

Use 87 Octane fuel every third tank. No issues.

I used to have a couple of gas MB's before and didn't notice any difference when i used 87 gas...only the mpg went down a little bit.

Just keep in mind that MB says clearly on the back of the gas cap door "Use 91 octane or higher ONLY"...so everyone should make his/her own decision.
