Low Voltage Rear Brake Light
Tried to search for a thread that matched my issue but could not locate one.
This evening I went to replace the left brake light after replacing the bulb it still would not turn on, tried a second bulb still not luck.
Checked the voltage at 3 points (socket, both sides of the connector) and I was only getting 3-4 volts instead of 12.
Does anyone have any suggestions what needs to be done next?
Thank you

Is your secondary stop lamp illuminated on that side?
Do you have a scanner?

Then you must purchase two repair kits (one for each side) from a dealer and install them and your problem will be over.
When you remove the tail lamps, see if the foam seal is attached to the tail lamp. If so, I strongly suggest you purchase two updated tail lamp seals and install them to the body opening. If you don't rain water will eventually enter the rear and damage all electrics in the spare tire are.
