2008 ML350 with CEL P0128

I have a 2008 ML350 and the CEL came on today with the P0128 CEL. It did not overheat. I checked the code and it is supposed to be the thermostat? Is this a DIY job? What is the process to change the thermostat? Is it a hard job? Where is the best place to purchase one? I have heard ECS was good. Anywhere else?

The code says that the Thermostat remains open which means that there is constant coolant circulation, which in turn means that it never gets to operating temp.

Here are the instructions.

For the correct thermo. part #, you will have to post your full vin#, as it goes by engine number.
